Do I need an account to swap?
No. SwapRoute is non-custodial and account-free — connect a wallet, review the route, and sign. We never hold your funds or your keys.
How does SwapRoute pick the best route?
We query capable providers, currently 0x and Relay, in parallel and rank their returned routes by net output. Provider confidence breaks ties when outputs are effectively equal. Availability depends on the tokens, networks and amount.
Can I paste any token contract address?
Yes. Search by name, symbol, or contract address. SwapRoute checks its curated registry, live public token APIs, and on-chain token metadata when needed. Always verify the token address before signing.
Can I send the output to a different wallet?
You can request a different recipient on the destination network when the provider supports it. ETH/WETH wrapping can require the connected wallet as recipient. Verify the destination network and address before signing.
Which chains and tokens are supported?
SwapRoute supports 13 EVM networks: Robinhood Chain, Arc, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Avalanche, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Linea, Blast, Scroll, Mantle. Search the token catalog, then request a quote for your amount to check route availability.
What happens if a route is delayed?
Cross-chain routes can take longer when networks are congested. SwapRoute shows route status where available so you can track the swap after signing.
Why do I need to approve a token?
ERC-20 tokens usually require an approval before a router can move the exact token amount you are swapping. Native assets like ETH or BNB do not need ERC-20 approval.
Does SwapRoute custody my funds?
No. SwapRoute is a routing interface. You connect your own wallet, review the transaction, and sign directly from that wallet.
