Route and bridge risk
Cross-chain routes may depend on bridges, solvers, liquidity venues, relayers, and message systems. These components can be delayed, paused, exploited, or unavailable.
A route that looks best by expected output may not be best for every user. Review timing, destination chain, recipient, minimum received, and warnings before signing.
Token and address risk
Many tokens share the same symbol. Always verify the contract address and destination chain, especially for long-tail assets, wrapped assets, and stablecoins deployed on multiple networks.
Recipient mistakes are usually irreversible. Cross-chain transfers to unsupported wallets, contracts, or wrong addresses may permanently lose funds.
Approval and wallet risk
ERC-20 swaps often require approvals. Review the spender and amount in your wallet before approving. Revoke unused allowances when appropriate.
Never share your seed phrase or private key. SwapRoute will never ask for them.
